Nicky Hilton is putting her last name to uses other than tabloid fodder by launching her own line of hotels, called Nicky O. Now I'm certainly no businessperson, but hotels are not handbags...who lets a twenty something open a hotel chain just because of the Hilton name? From Popsugar: "I've always wanted to do it," said the lodging heiress who plans to renovated two existing buildings to open the "Nicky O" on Miami's famed Ocean Boulevard in November. "I've been around hotels my whole life, and I know a good hotel when I see one." Is this what she explained to the board of directors? "I'm like good at being in hotels, so I know a good one when I see it." Boom, stamp of approval? WTF? And what does the "o" even stand for? Opulent?
