I don't understand how, when you're a celebrity, you "quietly date" someone for a few months and then publicly "come out." How on earth do you hide the fact that you're dating someone? Obviously you can't if you're Lindsay Lohan or Nicole Richie or someone hounded by the press all day, but when you're Jenny McCarthy? You probably get two photos a month at the grocery store and Starbucks each, then you can live in relative seclusion. But I feel like if people saw Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy out together pretty frequently, wouldn't you annouce that they're a couple? Hollywood mystifies me sometimes.
